New Plans For Matt Riddle In NXT

Matt Riddle is set to be a staple on the NXT roster for quite sometime.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that original plans for Matt Riddle to face Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover: Toronto have changed.

The report states that Matt Riddle is expected to stay in NXT for awhile, as the company wants doesn’t want to rush anything with him.

Riddle joined NXT last year, and has quickly become one of the brand’s top stars. Although he doesn’t have any NXT Championship opportunities scheduled soon, he could become the face of the brand one day.

As of this week, no match has been set for Matt Riddle at NXT Takeover: Toronto. He was attacked by Killian Dane at the recent set of tapings. This could turn into a program moving forward.

Matt Riddle has been highly vocal on wanting a match with Brock Lesnar in the future.
