MLW had a newsworthy season finale of its Fusion program.

In the main event of the show, Myron Reed defeated Lio Rush to be crowned the MLW Middleweight Champion. This will mark Reed’s second time as champion.

We also saw the pro wrestling return of Luis Fernandez-Gil, best known as Dario Cueto of Lucha Underground fame, revealed as El Jefe in the Azteca Underground storyline. He will be appearing at the MLW season premiere in July at the 2300 arena in Philadelphia.

According to PWInsider, Fernandez-Gil has signed a long-term deal with the company. The vignette that aired during the broadcast was filmed last month in Los Angeles, with only a select few aware of the production.

MLW also announced an open draft, which will begin next week on their Youtube channel. It will include free agent wrestlers and athletes.
