Some Backstage Were Told Ali Would Win

Brock Lesnar made a surprise appearance at the end of last night’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view. Lesnar captured the briefcase after tipping Ali off the ladder.

According to PWInsider, WWE went to extreme measures to hide Brock Lesnar’s win. None of the competitors in the match were told that Brock was backstage, and would be involved in the match.

Competitors were told that Ali would be standing on the of the ladder, and someone would come out to tip it over, but no mention was made on who that would be.

Many believed that Ali would be winning the match based on some in the company being told that that was the plan. WWE worked people backstage into believing Ali would win to smokescreen Lesnar’s involvement.

Lesnar was hidden all day, until he entered the gorilla position prior to running to the ring to capture the briefcase.

Lesnar is scheduled to appear on tonight’s RAW in Albany, NY.
