Super J-Cup Coming To United States

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the return of the Super J-Cup Tournament this August.

The seventh Super J-Cup tournament will be a three-night event taking place on August 22, 24, and 25 in the United States.

  • August 22 – Masonic Temple Theater – Tacoma, WA
  • August 24 – San Fransico State University Student Life Event Center – San Francisco, CA
  • August 25 – Walter Pyramid – Long Beach, CA (Semifinals and Finals)

Tickets will be on sale Monday, June 24, and participants will include wrestlers from New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, and CMLL.

The tournament was first held in 1994 as a single-night tournament. After 1995, the event took a hiatus before returning in 2000, hosted by Michinoku Pro Wrestling.

Past winners include Wild Pegasus(Chris Benoit), Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, Naomichi Marufuji, and KUSHIDA,
