New Japan Pro-Wrestling will no longer air on AXS TV.

On Friday, NJPW tweeted, “There are currently no plans for TV broadcast of NJPW events in 2020 (WK14 included) in the US.”

A spokesperson from AXS Television has confirmed to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that NJPW is no longer on their network.

NJPW and AXS TV signed an agreement in late-2014, producing a weekly program titled “World Pro-Wrestling”.

The series moved to Saturday nights starting this past July, and provided same-day coverage of the G1 Climax Tournament Saturday events in Japan.

A majority interest of AXS TV was purchased by Anthem Sports & Entertainment this past September. Anthem Sports is the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling.
