AEW World Champion Chris Jericho will be returning to New Japan Pro Wrestling to compete at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Jericho appeared via video at today’s NJPW Power Struggle event to challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest event of the year. Tanahashi accepted Jericho’s challenge, and the match is set for day two of Wrestle Kingdom 14 on 1/5/20.

“Now wait and see what I do to you. January 5th at the Tokyo Dome! The Painmaker vs. The Ace. It’s going to be a classic match and it’s also going to be your last match, Tana…..Sayonara!”

Chis Jericho did not appear wearing his AEW World Championship.
