Jon Moxley Has Yet To Request For Time Off For Wrestle Kingdom 15

IGWP United States Champion Jon Moxley has been absent from New Japan programming since February. Ahead of the Wrestle Kingdom 15, Moxley has yet to be booked for New Japan’s biggest event of the year.

Dave Meltzer spoke about Moxley’s NJPW status during the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Jon Moxley has reportedly not asked Tony Khan for time off to work the show.

If he did ask for the time off, he would need to miss one AEW Dynamite event, due to quarantine requirements when entering Japan.

He would have to miss the December 30th show, so he would have to miss one show. What I can tell you is that as of this week, no. That wasn’t — as far as Tony Khan, he has not asked for the date. He could ask for the date, but Moxley has not asked Tony for the date. The fact that they made this match on December 2nd and it was Tony’s call means that it 100% has nothing to do with the Tokyo Dome, Now, could he ask to work the Tokyo Dome?

Jon Moxley’s last IGWP US Title defense was at the 2/9 New Beginning event in Osaka, where he defeated Minoru Suzuki.
