Fandango may be out of action for a considerable amount of time following an injury suffered on 12/11.

During a tag-team match between Breezango and The Singh Brothers on NXT television, Fandango hit a diving elbow drop from the apron to the entrance ramp, which caused injury on his left elbow in the process. WWE issued an injury report, which is a mixture between real-life and kayfabe injuries.

Fandango suffered an injury to a ligament in his elbow, and required ulnar collateral ligament surgery, sometimes referred to Tommy John surgery. The procedure is named after former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tommy John. In 1974, he underwent the first surgery of this type.

Fandango posted a photo on social media following the surgery wearing a sling.

This is the second time Fandango will be out of action for a substantial amount of time. In mid-2018 he suffered a torn left labrum, which kept him out of action for a full year. He returned to in-ring action during a NXT taping this past July.

It’s unknown how long he will be sidelined for, recovery from this type of injury could take up to a year.
