Fightful Select (subscription required) has confirmed NXT Takeover: 31 will have a live crowd.

WWE talent were asked Friday to recommend names of friends and family that should be invited to the event. Those who were invited were advised of the following.

  • Nobody under 16 permitted without guardian
  • Face coverings and social distancing will be required
  • Three additional people can accompany invitees
  • Rapid COVID-19 test, temperature check, and waiver to be submitted

This weekend’s NXT Takeover pay-per-view is expected to have a a select number of people in the crowd during the event.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE is planning on allowing “friends and family” as audience members for the show.

Several talent have revealed that requests were made to bring in extras to enhance the environment, and recommendations for names were made Friday afternoon.

In June, WWE tested allowing a limited number of fans inside the closed RAW tapings. This included a number of local fans, and friends of talent. Audience members were asked to sign waivers prior to appearing on the show.

WWE will be moving production of NXT programming, including this weekend’s Takeover pay-per-view from Full Sail University to the Performance Center.
