Lesnar’s WWE Deal Expiring Next Year

Current WWE Money In The Bank contract holder Brock Lesnar could be holding the briefcase until its expiry date.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Brock Lesnar’s current deal with WWE expires next May or June.

“Lesnar’s contract expires in 2020, roughly May or June.” Meltzer stated “It will be interesting to see if the UFC talk comes up again, especially since Dana White outright claimed Lesnar had retired (although he’s said that before when they were still talking).

Lesnar has a history of using UFC as leverage to get better deals from WWE. Now that All Elite Wrestling is another player in pro-wrestling, he could use them as a bargaining chip to score a better deal with WWE.

“Lesnar’s bigger leverage than UFC will be based on AEW TV ratings.” Meltzer added. “If AEW ratings are stronger than expected, his leverage is astronomical. If they are weaker than expected, and their drawing has fallen, his leverage would be lessened greatly”

Brock Lesnar’s captured the Money In The Bank briefcase last month following a surprise appearance at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
