Since the announcement, more details have come to light regarding AEW’s deal. According to PWInsider, All Elite Wrestling is receiving in the area of an ‘eight-figure payday’ from WarnerMedia.

The report also noted that the backstage reaction to the move is overall a positive one, with it providing a way for AEW to increase its fan base.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Turner Sports would be taking over the NHL’s broadcasting rights alongside ESPN, with PWInsider noting that this was a large factor in AEW’s new deal.

Last January, AEW announced that they had re-signed with WarnerMedia, lasting them through 2023. The deal also included the third hour of AEW programming, which has now been revealed as ‘AEW: Rampage’.
