John Laurinaitis has returned as WWE’s Head Of Talent Relations.

As first reported by Dave Meltzer, Laurinaitis’ new role in WWE is officially General Manager, Talent, and will be reporting to WWE’s Executive Vice President of Operations, Brad Blum.

In 2001, Laurinaitis was hired as a road agent following WWE’s acquisition of WCW. He was promoted to Director of Talent Relations in 2004, replacing Jim Ross. In 2007, he was promoted to Senior VP of Talent Relations, then finally put in the role as Executive VP of Talent Relations in 2009. In 2012, he left that position, and continued his work as a backstage road agent.

PWInsider adds, WWE staff were informed this morning, and his new position will take effect immediately. Mark Carano will now report to Laurinaitis.

Throughout his career, Laurinaitis wrestled for promotions such as WCW, AJPW, and WWE. He is best known for his in-ring work under the moniker Johnny Ace.

Laurinitis is the brother of the late Joe Laurinaitis, better known as Road Warrior Animal.

He is married to Kathy Colace, the mother of The Bella Twins. He made occasional appearances on the reality series Total Bellas.
