Meiko Satomura reportedly signs with WWE, expected to go to NXT UK.

Back in October, Tokyo Sports reported that Japanese wrestling legend Meiko Satomura was set to sign with WWE, mentioning that she would be going to the NXT UK brand as a coach and in-ring performer. This came after an announcement from Satomura stating that she would become part-time in Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, which she co-founded.

Nikkan Sports is now reporting that Satomura has signed with WWE and began training at the company’s London Performance Center back on January 6th, in preparation for her in-ring debut for the brand.

It was also noted that she will continue to work with Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling as the President of the company.

Satomura made her WWE debut back in 2018 when she took part in the second Mae Young Classic. She made it to the semi finals of the tournament where she was eliminated by eventual winner Toni Storm.
