Los Angeles Is A Front-Runner For Wrestlemanai 37

Wrestlemania 35 is now in the history books, the event was the second highest-grossing event in WWE history.

The event returns to Florida next year, and will be held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL on April 5, 2020.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the front-runner for Wrestlemania 37 is Los Angeles, CA. The city put in a bid for the new under-construction football stadium in Inglewood, CA. The venue, which is currently known as Los Angeles Stadium ,will host the Rams and Charges NFL teams once it opens in 2020.

Kathy Schloessman, president of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission provided a statement on trying to secure Wrestlemania for the area.

“WWE have hosted several events here in the past such as Summer Slam, Survivor Series, Raw and SmackDown and we have seen the tremendous impact these events have in the community, both economically and socially. Given our focus on attracting major sporting and entertainment events to Los Angeles, WrestleMania is at the top of our list of events we want here.”

Los Angeles last hosted Wrestlemania 21 at the Staples Center in 2005.
