Adnan Virk Joining Monday Night RAW Broadcast Team

WWE is reportedly making changes to the RAW announce team, beginning this Monday for the RAW after Wrestlemania show from the new Thunderdome inside Tampa’s Yuengling Center.

According to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, former ESPN sportscaster Adnan Virk will be replacing Tom Philips. Virk is a Canadian sportscaster, known for his work on The Score, Raptors TV, Leafs TV, and Gol TV Canada.

Ringside News adds, Virk auditioned for the role on February 15 during the Monday Night RAW tapings, he was also present during a broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown.

Virk was employed by ESPN from 2010-2019. He was fired from the network after allegedly leaking confidential company information to the media. More recently he has been a part of the DAZN broadcasting team.

It’s unknown what plans WWE has for Tom Philips moving forward. He has been the lead play-by-player announcer for RAW since early 2020.

WWE has yet to confirm the change.
