Following his retirement match against Triple H at WrestleMania 35, Batista was announced as the headline inductee for the 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony. The Class of 2020 was then postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic, however, it doesn’t look like The Animal will be entering this year either.

Earlier this week, Ringside News first reported that Batista was currently not scheduled to appear at the 2021 Hall Of Fame Ceremony.

WWE.com removed the article announcing his induction. The WWE Hall Of Fame logo has also been removed from his official WWE profile.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has now confirmed the report, adding that WWE wants to have him inducted in front of a live crowd.

It was also noted that the recent incident which saw the WWE Network show Daniel Bryan as a ‘2021 Hall Of Fame Inductee’ was simply a mistake.

This year’s WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony will see both the 2020 and the 2021 Classes be inducted.

2020 Hall Of Fame Class:

* Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger

* Brie and Nikki Bella

* JBL

* The British Bulldog

* NWO

2021 Hall Of Fame Class:

* Eric Bischoff

* Molly Holly

WWE will be presenting the 2020 and 2021 Hall Of Fame ceremony on Tuesday, April 6 on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network in other regions.
