Bray Wyatt Released Due To ‘Budget Cuts’
Earlier today, WWE announced the release of William Rotunda, better known to fans as Bray Wyatt.
The news, which shocked many in WWE was reportedly due to budgetary reasons.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), John Laurinaitis made the call to Wyatt, informing him he was let go from the company. He also sent a notification to WWE talent stating Wyatt was released due to budget cuts.
Many within the company were surprised he was let go due to budget reasons, stating Wyatt is a great merchandise seller when he was active.
The report also noted Wyatt’s name being brought up during another round of recent cuts, but ultimately he was not let go. He was scheduled to make his long-awaited return in August.
