This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was pre-taped, and included several edits prior to airing Saturday night on TNT.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), several segments were edited, including an Eddie Kingston promo with the Lucha Bros and Butcher & Blade.
Eddie Kingston mentioned current WWE star Rey Mysterio’s name during the promo, but it was edited out for the airing. No reason was provided why his name was not included in the broadcast.
Other edited made during the show included a segment involving Britt Baker, Reba, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford. This segment was was originally filmed inside the ring, but was re-shot due to time constraints.
During a match between The Dark Order and The Elite, a back elbow spot had to be re-shot due to one of the wrestlers being caught in the ropes.
The AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament Finals match also had issues, Ivelisse and Diamante’s entrance had to be re-filmed as television cameras were out of place.
