WWE may be planning a special event at the end of August, the week following its annual SummerSlam pay-per-view.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, there has been recent talk within WWE to run a WWE Network special a week after SummerSlam. This is something that has been spoken about in recent weeks, and the current status of the event is unknown.

According to PWInsider, WWE Summerslam will take place at the WWE PC. I’ve been told in recent weeks there was also talk of a WWE Network special the following weekend, but I don’t know the status of that now.

If the company decides to move forward with an event, it will likely be on August 29 or 30.

WWE’s next pay-per-view following SummerSlam is Clash Of Champions, which is currently scheduled for September 20.
