Report: WWE Removing Gender Specific Language From Its NXT Championship.

WWE is reportedly removing gender specific language from its NXT Championship.

According to PWInsider, WWE has issued an internal memo indicating the term NXT Women’s Championship will be replaced with NXT Championship.

This change comes following Becky Lynch stating on WWE Backstage that the company should stop using gender specific language when referring to the Men’s and Women’s division.

With this change in language, it’s unclear if WWE remove the term “Women’s” for the actual championship belt.

It’s unknown how long WWE has planned removing gender specific verbiage to the NXT Championship, or if this change will also be done on RAW and SmackDown titles.
