Brett Giehl, better known to wrestling fans as Dalton Castle has filed trademark to secure his ring name,

The former ROH World Champion filed trademark for the name Dalton Castle on 1/14 with The United States Patent and Trademark Office. The filing includes various screenshots confirming his use of the name. He states he has used the name since 2009 in pro-wrestling.

INTERNATIONAL CLASS 041: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer

The mark has become distinctive of the goods/services through the applicant’s substantially exclusive and continuous use of the mark in commerce that the U.S. Congress may lawfully regulate for at least the five years immediately before the date of this statement.

Dalton Castle’s deal with Ring Of Honor recently expired, resulting in him becoming a free agent.

Dalton signed with ROH in 2013, winning the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship and ROH World Championship during his time with the promotion. His most recent appearance for the company was at the end of December on Ring Of Honor syndicated television.
