Update 8:00 PM ET – Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer has provided an update on Marty Scurll’s future.

Scurll is close to signing a new deal with ROH which will also allow him to work for NWA and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The report also indicates his contract would not prevent him from working All Elite Wrestling.

Marty Scurll has not signed a new contract but it very close. The deal will include him wrestling in ROH, New Japan and NWA. There looks to be more than that as well as the door contractually would not be closed to AEW.

As more details are known, an update will be provided.

Marty Scurll could be signing a new deal with Ring Of Honor.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, backstage talk suggests that Scurll and ROH are close to coming to terms on a new deal.

The new deal would have Scurll remain with the ROH and take on additional responsibilities with the company.

As of a few days ago a deal has not been reached.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Marty Scurll is being offered WWE main roster money, for a fraction of the dates.

We had heard Scurll was being offered a better deal than the one Matt Taven signed for. We don’t have it confirmed that he signed it. It’s a great deal as it’s basically WWE main roster money while only working maybe 40 dates per year for ROH and certain unique perks.

Marty Scurll’s contract with Ring Of Honor expired on 11/30/19.

He is continuing to work shows for the promotion, and is advertised for events up until Supercard of Honor on 4/5.
