Rush has become the first man born in Mexico to capture the ROH World Championship.

Rush defeated Matt Taven to win the Ring Of Honor Championship at tonight’s Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view in Las Vegas, NV.

Matt Taven’s Ring Of Honor contract is expiring next week, and has been offered a major deal with the company to re-sign according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Taven’s offer from ROH is reportedly double or triple what NXT main event stars are making. WWE does have interest in Taven, and him signing with the company could happen if he decides not to re-sign with Ring Of Honor.
