Roman Reigns offered Daniel Bryan one more chance at the WWE Universal Championship during tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown. The match came with one major stipulation: If Daniel Bryan loses, he will be barred from SmackDown.

Unfortunately, Bryan was unable to defeat Reigns, and is now barred from the blue brand.

Roman Reigns entered the match with updated theme music, something spoke he about last year, stating “With this character, it has to be the right vibe”.

Just before the first commercial break, Daniel Bryan had the advantage, working on Reign’s shoulder, but wasn’t able to get the best of Reigns, who eventually recovered and remained dominant for most of the match.

Daniel Bryan was eventually able to bounceback, but found himself at the receiving end of a Superman punch. Reigns attempted a spear, but was met with a small package for a near-fall.

Daniel Bryan was able to briefly secure a Yes-Lock, but was overpowered by Reigns, who hit Bryan with a spear. Many believed this was the end, but Bryan was able to kick out at the last moment. Reigns was able to put Bryan in a guillotine, but miraculously Bryan was able to reverse it. The match continued back and forth until Reigns hit two massive powerbombs, and multiple forearm strikes.

The final few moments saw Reigns secure a guillotine, which Bryan was unable to counter, causing him to pass out and lose the match.

Following the match, Reigns attempted to continue his punishment on Bryan, but was met with a massive uppercut from Cesaro. Jey Uso then arrived, attacked Cesaro as we went off-air

Daniel Bryan will now be barred from SmackDown.
