Multiple Bidders Interested In AEW Television

All Elite Wrestling is scheduled to begin airing their weekly television program beginning this October. A story surfaced today claiming the company will be paying for airtime on TNT this fall for a one hour program.

Dave Meltzer stated that this is not the case, and All Elite Wrestling will not be purchasing time to air their show, but the exact opposite.

Meltzer states multiple bidders have put in offers for the show, and that is the reason why a deal has yet to be signed.

One hour is false. Time buy is false. It’s the exact opposite. Look at sports rights, Bellator, Matchroom, UFC on ESPN, people are offering tons of money both for weekly live programming and also to get their streaming services starting. That’s the reason this thing is starting this year.

One of the reasons the deal hasn’t been signed yet is because of multiple bidders.

Last week a story surfaced that Warner Media is planning to present All Elite Wrestling to potential advertisers at the TV Upfronts next month in New York City. According to Meltzer, no deal has been signed yet.
