In a recent interview with BT Sport, current SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks listed her dream Japanese wrestling matches.
The first person Banks listed is retired Japanese wrestler Manami Toyota. Toyota, who retired in 2017, is best known for her work with the All Japan’s Women’s Promotion, where a number of her matches received five stars from Dave Meltzer.
The second wrestler is Aja Kong. Kong has made multiple appearances in the United States. Most notably, she was the sole survivor at WWF’s Survivor Series in 1995 and took part in a 6 woman tag team match at AEW’s Double Or Nothing 2019 Pay-Per-View.
The third wrestler is Meiko Satomura, who will reportedly be heading to WWE’s NXT UK brand as a coach and wrestler later this month. Satomura appeared in the 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament, where she lost to Toni Storm in the semi-finals.
