The Former WWE Champion is looking to become a record-tying 9-time Intercontinental title holder.

The Miz retains his contendership against Andrade after laying him out with the ‘Skull Crushing Finale’.

Nakamura then ambushes his challenger after the match.

‘The Artist’ plants the Kinshasas to ‘The A-Lister’ as a prelude to their Clash of Champions match.

Cross versus Rose

Thirdly, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, are feuding with the team of Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville.

In singles action and due to Bliss’ aid, Cross consequently rolls up Rose for a pinfall victory.

Main Event KOTR Semi-final Match

SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon appoints his rival, Kevin Owens, as the special guest referee in the main event match.

Shane offers Owens a deal; if Owens ensures Shane’s victory, he’ll drop Owens’ $100,000 fine.

In addition, McMahon is replacing Elias in the King of the Ring semi-final match against Chad Gable.

This is due to Elias sustaining an ankle injury. As a result, he’s out of the tournament.

Nevertheless, Gable solidifies his victory as he defeats McMahon via submission by way of the ankle lock.

In a shocking turn of events, the Commissioner fires Kevin Owens.
