Timothy Thatcher Not Legitimately Injured

Ahead of NXT’s New Year’s Evil special on USA, William Regal announced Timothy Thatcher was injured, and couldn’t compete against Tomasso Ciampa in a Fight Pit Match.

According to PWInsider, Timothy Thatcher is not legitimately injured, and WWE made a decision to push the Fight Pit Match back. There was a decision made to cover the change with a storyline injury.

WWE removed all advertising for the match early Wednesday, and officially announced the match was off hours before the broadcast. The match is expected to take place in the weeks ahead, but an exact date has yet to be revealed.
