Tony Khan spoke with media following All Elite Wrestling’s All Out event Sunday night.

At the beginning of the media scrum, Khan spoke about the situation concerning Matt Hardy during the event, taking a nasty bump during a spot with Sammy Guevera.

Tony Khan stated he made the decision to stop the match, sending Dr. Sampson to check on Matt Hardy. He says Sampson conducted a concussion test on Matt Hardy, and cleared him to return to the match. Khan was adamant that there was enough time between the injury and the doctor clearing Hardy.

Khan confirmed reports that Matt Hardy went to the hospital following the match, which he said was a precautionary measure. He said he spoke to Matt Hardy, and seems to be doing ok.

Khan was asked his reasoning on allowing Matt Hardy to continue with climbing the tower following the injury scare. He stated he was “extremely concerned”, knowing that spot was planned to happen during the match. He said that’s the reason he paused the match, to ensure Hardy was cleared before continuing.

Following the match, Matt Hardy’s wife Reby took to Twitter, airing her grievances with the way the situation was handled.
