Following a company wide email sent by Vince McMahon addressing diversity in the WWE, Triple H had a meeting with NXT talent following last night’s Takeover event at Full Sail University.

NXT recruit AJ Francis took to Twitter to commend Triple H for being an ally, and advising talent that if they want to speak with him regarding Black Lives Matter, he is willing to have that conversation.

While somebody out here snitchin to these dirt sheets about everything, somebody need to snitch that @TripleH came & told us all that if we today, tomorrow or ever want to talk to him about our feelings on #BlackLivesMatter he wants to have that convo.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided additional details on the meeting, indicating Triple H commended talent for standing up, as it was an important time in the world.

According to the report, Triple H was emotional when speaking, and emphasized he wants everyone in WWE to matter, regardless of race, religion, language, culture, or orientation.

Both Mia Yim and her partner Keith Lee made statements during Sunday’s NXT Takeover event.

Keith Lee had “Black Lives Matter” printed on both his tights and ring jacket, and Mia Yim wore a t-shirt with names of the “Exonerated 5”, a group teens imprisoned for years after being wrongly convicted of a heinous crime

WWE made a public statement last week, speaking on racial injustice amid nationwide protests following the murder of George Floyd.
