WWE Hopeful To Run Next Saudi Show Before End Of Year

WWE was forced to cancel all domestic and international touring due to the ongoing health crisis, but is hopeful they can fulfil obligations to run an event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before the end of the year.

According to Wrestlevotes, multiple WWE sources state WWE’s plan to run an event in Saudi Arabia this year “is very much on the table”

Two WWE sources indicate that an event in Saudi Arabia prior to the end of 2021 is very much on the table.

This past February, WWE officials traveled to Saudi Arabia, making its first international trip since the beginning of the pandemic. WWE’s corporate jet was confirmed to be King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 2/15. It’s unknown how many WWE executives were on the trip.

WWE’s last event in Saudi Arabia was the Super ShowDown pay-per-view in early 2020. In the past, Vince McMahon has personally Saudi Arabia, meeting with the General Sports Authority regarding their ongoing partnership.

The company was forced to cancel a second scheduled in the fall of 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic
