Former XFL Commissioner and CEO Oliver Luck has filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon for wrongful dismissal.

As first reported by TMZ, Luck says he received a letter of termination on April 9, with outlined the reasons for his dismissal from the company.

Luck claims he fulfilled his duties, and was wrongfully dismissed, denying any wrongdoing during his time with the league.

Vince McMahon has responded to Luck’s lawsuit through his lawyer Jerry McDevitt.

The following statement was issued

“Oliver Luck’s services as Commissioner and CEO of The XFL were terminated by a letter sent to him on Apr. 9, 2020 which explained the reasons for the termination. As to the lawsuit he filed, his allegations will be disputed and the position of Mr. McMahon will be set forth in our response to his lawsuit.”

The lawsuit comes to light days after Vince McMahon’s XFL suspended operations and filed for bankruptcy.
