New Trademark Filed For Former WWE Star

WWE has filed a new trademark for the name Dean Ambrose with The United States Patent and Trademark Office.

On 10/8, WWE filed a new application for the name, which was entered into the USPTO “trademark reporting and monitoring” database on 11/23.

The trademark was filed under the entertainment services classification, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler. The company is likely trademarking the name to continue to maintain ownership on the IP associated with the character.

WWE previously held trademark for a name, which was canceled this past August. The company was provided ample time to renew, but decided not to. This new application is separate from the old filing.
