WWE may be ending their 205 Live program once the company moves SmackDown to Friday night’s this October.

HeelByNature.com has learned WWE may be ending the 205 Live program, which airs immediately following SmackDown on the WWE Network.

One backstage source in the WWE specifically stated “we are scrapping 205 live in a couple months”. The source indicated that the news would get out in September, presumably when the decision is finalized.

It’s unknown whether the company will transition the Cruiserweight Title on the main roster, or move it to the NXT brand if the change does happen.

With the recent news of WWE moving their NXT program to Wednesday night’s on USA, it would make sense to transition 205 Live talent on the NXT brand.

Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens also made a statement on Twitter regarding 205 Live talent being told the show would be ending.

WWE’s first SmackDown episode on FOX is scheduled for October 4 in Los Angeles.
