During last week’s episode of WWE Backstage, CM Punk provided his thoughts on racial inequality following the murder of George Floyd.

Following his appearance, he tweeted the following.

Lotta people snitching on themselves. When people tell you who they are, believe it. Might be unfortunate and disappointing if you’re a fan of that person, or if it’s your grandmother, but fuck ‘em. Good bye! (I yield my time, fuck you.)

A fan responded to Punk’s tweet, speaking on how silent AJ Styles has been amid the current social climate.

Right!?! Silence speaks volumes. Seeing AJ Styles promote streams and shit but couldn’t be bothered to post anything made it clear how he feels. That was a tough unfollow…

CM Punk then responded, in a tweet that has since been deleted.

Well. Come on. That one has been obvious for years.

AJ Styles wasn’t too pleased with CM Punk’s comments, and made it aware during a recent interview with the Times Of India.

The interviewer asked Styles for a reaction to CM Punk taking shots at him for not voicing support for the Black Lives Matter movement amid nationwide protests.

Styles stated he did not respect CM Punk, and his job as a performer is to get people’s minds off things going on in the world.

I will not react at all coming from a guy like that I don’t any respect anyway. It doesn’t really matter. Look, my job as a performer is to perform and get the mind off all the things that have happened throughout the world. I am not going to react to people saying ridiculous and stupid things.

CM Punk has yet to respond to AJ Styles comments on the matter.
