Angel Garza Crowned Cruiserweight Champion
Angel Garza has captured the NXT Cruiserweight title.
During tonight’s episode of NXT on USA, Angel Garza defeated Lio Rush in the opening match of the episode.
The match, which went back and fourth went in favor of Garza, who ended up getting the win via submission.

Following the match, Garza thanked the WWE Universe, his family, and then brought his girlfriend into the ring and asked her to marry him.

Angel Garza is the first NXT Cruiserweight Champion of Mexican descent.
Garza was signed with WWE in April 2019. He is a third generation star, his father is the late Hector Garza, who made a few appearances with WWE in the 90s during a talent exchange with AAA.
Angel Garza’s cousin is current WWE RAW star Humberto Carillo.
