Wrestling fans have been wondering what the eventual landing place would be for superstar Davey Boy Smith Jr. following his contract with Major League Wrestling coming to an end last year.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter Smith Jr., who is the son of the legendary British Bulldog, is most likely headed to WWE.

The report states that since Smith Jr. was not involved in the April 8th Bloodsport special, an event that he has worked since it began back in 2019, is an indicator that he may be already signed. All Japan was also interested in Smith, but the COVID-19 pandemic sort of squashed those opportunities. He did meet with AEW President Tony Khan at one point through Jim Ross, but it doesn’t appear that is his landing point.

It was previously reported that if WWE did use Smith Jr. he would be a center point of their NXT UK brand, where he would be guaranteed a push as opposed to getting lost in the shuffle on NXT or the main roster.

There’s some speculation that Smith Jr. may be introduced to the roster during the Hall of Fame Ceremony, but that is not confirmed.
