While the world is dealing with the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), many within the world of pro-wrestling have been affected by the financial strain due to the ongoing health crisis.

Several wrestlers such as Jon Moxley, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho, and Mustafa Ali have stepped up with efforts to assist independent wrestlers.

WWE star Braun Strowman made some ill-advised comments towards indie wrestlers who have begun looking for other means to assist financially.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Braun Strowman regrets what he said after friends spoke with him about comments made on social media.

In the end, he does have friends in the company and was talked to and from what we understand, he does regret saying what he did

For those unaware of the situation, AEW star Evil Uno of The Dark Order asked fans to support independent workers struggling financially.

Braun Strowman wrote the following in response to Uno’s post.

“Here we go with more of the somebody pay for my bills stuff. If you can’t afford to pay your bills maybe you should change professions. That’s why I quit strongman. I loved it, but I couldn’t afford to live so instead of making a go fund me or a Patreon wanting someone else to take care of me I went out and worked harder than I ever have in my life to get to where I am. What happened to being accountable for your own actions????!!!”

It’s unknown whether Strowman directly reached out to Uno for comments made, or if he has made efforts to assist any independent stars affected by the current health crisis.
