The Rated-R Superstar is back in the WWE.

Edge made his long-awaited return to the WWE tonight during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Houston, TX.

He drew number 21 in the Men’s Royal Rumble match, and was among the last three entrants in the match.

The WWE Shop immediately released an Edge t-shirt following his return.

Backstage reports surfaced over the last few months indicating Edge signed a new deal with the WWE and was looking to make an in-ring return.

This past week, PWInsider indicated they would be surprised if Edge was not back on WWE television within the week, this report ended up confirmed with Edge’s entry in tonight’s Royal Rumble match.

Edge retired from in-ring action in 2011 following being diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis. Doctors would not clear him to wrestle, for risk of neck-down paralysis.
