Edge surprised fans last Sunday at SummerSlam in Toronto after delivering a spear to Elias during the Kickoff Show. During the latest episode of “Edge and Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness” he made comments about stepping back in the ring one final time.

“To be perfectly honest, I think I could do a match tomorrow,” Edge stated.  “It’s just from what I know with the WWE medical staff, they won’t allow”.

He also spoke about some good news he received from a doctor regarding his neck.

“I did have a doctor tell me that he thinks they’ll be able to basically get my neck relatively healthy within 5 years,” Edge stated. “Then there is stem cells, which I am looking into”.

Edge’s appearance this Sunday was a last minute decision according to the WWE Hall Of Famer. He stated he was told 15 minutes prior to going out that he would be hitting the ring.

Edge retired from in-ring action in 2011 following being diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis. Doctors would not clear him to wrestle, for risk of neck-down paralysis.
