Vince McMahon Reportedly Approves Four Matches For Up-Coming TLC PPV

With WWE’s final pay per view of the year only a matter of weeks away, it is being reported that four matches have been locked down for the show.

Over the past few months, Vince McMahon has been known to rip up Raw and SmackDown scripts, causing the creative team to throw a show together hours before the show airs. This has resulted in matches being announced extremely last minute for pay per views, however four matches have already been locked down for this month’s TLC pay per view, according to a report from Ringside News.

The report notes that Vince McMahon has approved of four matches so far. The first being a match that has already received major build. Kevin Owens will reportedly challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at the event. The second match is Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax defending their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Raw Women’s Champion Asuka and Lana. The third is Bray Wyatt facing Randy Orton, however it wasn’t confirmed whether this would be The Fiend, or another one of Wyatt’s personas. The final match is Daniel Bryan taking on Jey Uso. Bryan will reportedly challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, so this would be a way to progress their feud before the match takes place.

As far as the WWE Championship Match, original plans had Braun Strowman face Drew Mcintyre, but a legitimate knee injury may be forcing the Monster Among Men to not compete at the show. WWE is hosting a Triple Threat Match on this week’s RAW, with the winner next in line for a WWE Championship opportunity.

WWE TLC will emanate from the Thunderdome at Tampa’s Tropicana Field on 12/22.
