Friday Night SmackDown Draws Record Low Viewership on FS1

Friday Night SmackDown moving to FS1 for one-week resulted in a substantial audience drop.

The 10/25 episode of SmackDown hit a record low viewership number with 888,000 viewers over the two hour program.

FOX moved the episode to its FS1 station due to the World Series. The change resulted in a 63% viewership drop from the week prior.

Following SmackDown, WWE Backstage averaged 426,000 viewers. The followup episode was down from the premiere which drew 597,000 on 10/15.

SmackDown ended up with lower viewership than the 10/23 episode of AEW Dynamite which drew 963,000 viewers.

The previous low for the series was on 11/25/15 when the series aired on Syfy, that episode drew 1,652,000 viewers. Friday’s episode drew a 0.27 rating in the highly coveted 18 to 49 demographic.
