During night two of Wrestlemania 37, the former Dabba Kato returned, assisting Apollo Crews.

WWE has yet to officially announce his new name.

Former RAW Underground Star To Get New Gimmick

WWE recently trademarked the name Commander Azeez for entertainment services, namely for a professional wrestler.

The trademark, which was filed last week was entered into the United States Patent and Trademark Office this weekend.

According to PWInsider, former RAW Underground star, Dabba Kato will be using the Commander Azeez name going forward. Prior to RAW Underground, he went under his real name Babatunde.

He signed with WWE in 2016, and was mainly used for NXT live events while training at the Performance Center. He was also involved at WWE’s first Saudi Arabian pay-per-view The Greatest Royal Rumble, entering in at number 37.

It’s unknown how WWE plans to introduce Commander Azzez, but it should be noted he is half-Nigerian and half-Polish, which may lead to him being aligned with Apollo Crews, whose character is a descended from “Nigerian Royalty”.

During the 2020 WWE Draft, the former Dabba Kato was drafted to Monday Night RAW. He has not been used on television in several months.
