The legendary “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan has released a video statement on his personal Instagram announcing that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The WWE Hall of Famer stated that he will be undergoing surgery tomorrow at the Medical University of South Carolina down in Charleston, and that his wife Debra will keep fans updated on his condition. His full statement is below.

Today we got to share some bad times. I’ve been diagnosed with prostate cancer and I’m having my surgery tomorrow. Actually it’s been going on for a couple of months now, and Debra and I have been living with it and getting ready. Reality is here…I’m going down to Charleston tomorrow to have my cancer surgery. So folks I know you been thinking and praying for me about this last surgery…please thinks of me this Friday as I go in for my cancer surgery down in Charleston. Debra will keep everyone updated but I’m going to take a break from social media. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, and we’ll see you down the road with the grace of God and the skill of doctors.

News of the 67-year old’s health started making the rounds on October 20th when it was revealed that he underwent emergency surgery for an undisclosed condition. The Hall of Famer has been battling a number of medical conditions over the last few years, including a heart procedure he had back in 2019.
