Vince McMahon’s long awaited biopic “Pandaemonium” received another script update according to a Mike Johnson at PWInsider Elite.
Johnson states the latest version has some of the similar storylines as earlier reiterations, an still opens with the line “This story is true, much like anything in professional wrestling”.
The movie is about the the life of Vince McMahon, and his rise in professional wrestling. The original script was extremely racy, and a lot sequences were inspired by the movie Goodfellas, as well The People vs. Larry Flynt.
During the steroid trial in the movie, Vince McMahon’s steroid trial happens, and infidelities are exposed. There is a scene in a limousine with his family after the trial, which begins talk on the heel character Mr. McMahon. This part of the script has survived various revisions.
In reality, Vince’s heel character began much later, during the Attitude Era. The timelines and actual events that took place differs from what really happened.
The latest script continues to have cameos from Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, Ted Turner, and Hulk Hogan.
The latest version also has a scene where Vince takes Linda to Montreal, and they scout Andre The Giant, who is working as a waiter in a restaurant. This is far from what actually happened, but makes for good storytelling.
The latest draft of the script was sent to Vince McMahon at the end of 2018, and he is now going over it with other WWE executives to give feedback, and see if it’s going in the right direction.
In 2017 a very early version of the script leaked that had the following scenes. It is unknown how many of these scenes made it into the latest draft.
