Luke Harper Trademarks Former Ring Name “Brodie Lee”

Luke Harper is seemingly preparing for his exit from WWE, and has trademarked his former wrestling name “Brodie Lee”.

As first reported by PWInsider, Harper applied for for a Goods & Services trademark on 11/26.

The trademark is specifically for “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer”.

Harper publicly announced for his release earlier this year, and was not granted a break from his WWE contract.

Harper’s contract is set to expire this month, but the company extended it six months due to time missed during injury. He met with Vince McMahon, and asked if he could be released in November, since they have no plans on using him. Vince advised Harper to take it up with Triple H, who then did not respond to him.

Harper made a brief return to WWE, teaming with Eric Rowan, and performing at WWE live events.

Luke Harper’s current WWE deal expires in May 2020.

He used the Brodie Lee name on the independent scene from 2003-2012.
