WWE announcer Nigel McGuinness was among those that have been furloughed by WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer, in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McGuinness hasn’t been seen on WWE programming due to being furloughed during recent WWE cuts.

The reason Nigel McGuinness hasn’t been around is that he was one of the people furloughed during all the cuts.

Nigel McGuinness more recently was part of the NXT UK commentary team alongside Andy Shepard. Shepard has been working solo hosting “best of” shows on the WWE Network.

McGuinness signed with WWE in December 2016, debuting as a commentary during the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament in January 2017.

He has provided commentary on a number of programs including 205 Live, WWE Main Event, and NXT.
