Original Plans To Write Kairi Sane Off Television Nixed
During Monday’s edition of RAW, Kairi Sane defeated SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley in a non-title match.
Kairi Sane worked her last scheduled television tapings for the company, she is scheduled to return to Japan, yet still be a part of WWE’s “extended family”.
WWE taped two episodes of RAW during the taping, which could result in Sane working her last match next week.
According to Dave Meltzer, in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE had to nix plans for Kairi Sane to be written off due to another star currently being off television.
Original plans had Kairi Sane attacked and injured by Natalya, but due to her being off television, Shayna Baszler has been brought in as a backup.
During Sane’s match with Bayley, Baszler was seen backstage observing the match. Based on last night’s segment it appears Baszler will now be the person who attacks Sane to write her off television.
Natalya is off due to her husband TJ Wilson being sick, and as a precaution she has been kept off television. As of now, neither has
The original idea was as of yesterday was for Kari Sane to be injured, and the person who injured her, and from tv tonight looks to be Shayna Baszler.
Baszler was brought back as a backup to injure Kairi, and it looks like she’s going to be the backup, because Natalya was originally scripted in hat role but she’s been kept off.As far as I know Natalya does not have COVID, she’s been off for weeks, I know TJ has been really sick, but he did not test positive, they decided to keep both of them off
Shayna Baszler was recently brought back after spending several months off television. Reports emerged earlier this month on Vince McMahon being “soured” by her, and removing her from television.
Next week, Asuka will face Sasha Banks in an Extreme Rules re-match. We will likely find out the direction for SummerSlam, whether Asuka will face Shayna Baszler at the event following a likely attack on Sane.
