WWE will be hosting their Payback pay-per-view one week following SummerSlam.
The company has confirmed the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will be defended at the event, but no other details have yet to be provided.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), as of this past Wednesday, WWE did not have plans to have Matt Riddle face Baron Corbin at this weekend’s SummerSlam event. However, preliminary plans suggest these two will compete at WWE Payback instead.
We should note, like always WWE creative plans could change. Stay tuned for further updates as they become available.
WWE Payback will be held at the WWE ThunderDome on Sunday, August 30, and will air on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.
