First Time WWE SummerSlam Will Be Not Be Held In A Major Venue

The biggest WWE event of the summer is expected to be held inside the company’s Performance Center.

Although an official announcement has not been made, PWInsider reports WWE will hold the 2020 SummerSlam pay-per-view at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL on Sunday, April 23.

The company has been scouting potential locations outside the closed facility, but has made the decision to produce the event at their training facility.

WWE originally booked four events in Boston at the TD Garden during SummerSlam weekend, but due to local regulations those plans were forced to change.

WWE still has plans to hold NXT Takeover the night before SummerSlam, which will likely be held at Full Sail University.

It’s unknown if the company plans on allowing select fans into their closed sets.
